Position Retail Brand Manager

As a Retail Brand Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic and entrepreneurial team, responsible for formulating and executing strategies to bring innovative merchandise to market for Area 15. We are in search of a candidate who embodies qualities such as nimbleness, proactivity, analytical prowess, multitasking abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.   • Conduct research on emerging trends to provide fact-based business insights, supporting the creation of sound strategic recommendations. Utilize data and insights to craft a logical and compelling narrative.

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with brands for collaborations, limited edition series runs, and private label opportunities.

  • Source and present options for immersive retail experiences in both venue and e-commerce settings.

  • Create and present business cases for new programs that align with growth strategies and profitability targets.

  • Support the product development process by collaborating closely with internal teams to assess feasibility, operational considerations, and product development reviews.

  • Provide strategic guidance and directives to store teams, promoting product sales through visual merchandising, leveraging independent judgment and discretion based on each store's unique specifications and business needs.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on brand aesthetics, product development, and visual merchandising trends.

  • Train and coach store teams on visual standards and substitutions.

  • Ensure consistent interpretation of store visual displays based on the global creative vision.

  • Establish and maintain flawless brand standards in visual merchandising and product selection.

  • Partner cross-functionally on exceptional event concepts, from initial product planning to post-event tracking.

  • Participate in creative sessions, making informed buys based on brand strategies and financial objectives.

  • Provide weekly and monthly qualitative and quantitative sales reports, identifying business opportunities.

  • Strategize programs and incentives to drive sales, with a focus on growing daily business in all network doors

  • Partner with Global suppliers to drive collaboration and synergy through communication, clarity of roles and responsibilities, and alignment of goals.

  • Act as a conduit for information and own communication of development with cross-functional partners globally.

  • Manage product sampling and review schedule, with a focus on design intent, updates, standards, execution and overall consistency of information.

  • Follow up on product changes throughout design approval and commercialization to ensure timely approval, avoid material liabilities and production issues.

  • Minimize material liabilities.

  • Partner with supplier base to provide on-time costing, negotiates costing when needed, updates and options, as needed.

  • Partner with Material teams to ensure new materials are in work, pass testing requirements, and are on track for milestone deliverables.

  • Manage and develop direct reports on product knowledge and competencies with data, analytics and technology.

  • Strong knowledge of festival and nightlife trends

  • Be available to respond to time-sensitive matters.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements


  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

  • 10 years previous experience in retail management, visual merchandising or product development

  • Strong understanding of retail math and the ability to analyze sales data

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams

  • Guest centric mindset with a focus on creating an exceptional experience

  • Strategic thinker who recognizes opportunities and can influence decision makers to move to execution

  • Strong product sense with proven experience in building product assortments that drive business

  • Strong grasp on the competitive landscape and market trends

  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • High level of conceptual creative ability

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Drive focus and clarity amidst multiple, sometimes competing deadlines

  • Works autonomously and able to navigate through ambiguity

  • Comfortable working in a creative, entrepreneurial start-up environment, introducing new concepts and innovations.

  • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment with varying levels of sound, crowds, and smoke/haze.

  • Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.

  • Open availability with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must have the ability to withstand high temperatures, heat and sun exposure, and varying weather conditions.

  • Proficiency in inventory control, visual merchandising, and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong organizational, communication, conflict-resolution, and time-management skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changing Integrated Management Systems and understand brand identities.

  • Reliable transportation, flexibility in working hours, and physical capabilities for the role.

  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills preferred.

  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
