Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Supports and provides advanced troubleshooting of all aspects of the agency's network and computer connectivity, hardware, software, and systems maintenance. Responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and providing advanced network support for the agency's computer network.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Configures, installs, and maintains agency network computers and devices.
  2. Analyzes network server performance needs associated with user connectivity.
  3. Identifies and troubleshoots network stop issues.
  4. Replaces/configures routers, firewalls, and virtual private networks.
  5. Performs server patch and upgrade installations.
  6. Deploys and supports all peripheral computer and network devices.
  7. Defines technical network issues and works with network administrator to determine solutions.
  8. Provides end user support for troubleshooting and maintaining connectivity to the agency's networks and computers.
  9. Provides support and guidance to fellow IT support staff.
  10. Assists Network Administrator and IT Manager with network administrative and other duties of the IT department.

Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • AS. degree in computer technology and/or 5 years of related work experience or B.S. degree in computer technology and 3 years of related work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of all current MS Windows client operating systems.
  • "High intermediate" knowledge of all current MS server operating systems.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED: Valid drivers license.
