Position Senior Warehouse & Logistics Manager  
Description

AREA15 is looking for an experienced, Full-Time Senior Warehouse & Logistics Manager to be responsible for the logistical implementation of special events from our warehouse and leading a team to execute general warehouse operations. It requires an organized, hands-on individual who be the lead in pulling, loading and unloading event needs onto vehicles before and after events.

The ideal candidate will ensure efficient and consistent operation guaranteeing all inventory is managed and distributed to proper areas as needed. The role will be responsible for efficiently carrying out all duties in the warehouse; including, but not limited to procurement, retail inventory processing, picking, packing, and staging of production inventory, day to day shipping and receiving, inventory assessments, in-house quality control, quality assurance, and the management of warehouse employees across various shifts. This role must be a dedicated and highly organized individual.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Expertise in managing an inventory of all event props, furniture, audio-visual equipment, and other event production-related items. This includes tracking, organizing, and maintaining an accurate inventory.

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and logistics. Knowledge of best practices in inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution.

  • The ability to collaborate closely with production teams, event planners, and designers to ensure the efficient execution of set design and event setup.

  • Diagnose and repair equipment in preparation for events. Work with any range of internal staff to resolve pre-production issues.

  • Support event execution via sub-rentals, equipment repair, procurement.

  • Strong logistics coordination skills to manage the staging and movement of materials, furniture, and equipment to and from event locations.

  • Oversee shipping and receiving of all AREA15 deliveries, including but not limited to; parcels, retail, signage, food and beverage inventory, production equipment and furniture, decor, rental items, and more.

  • Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic and fast-paced nature of the entertainment industry, where schedules and requirements can change rapidly.

  • Supervise and lead warehouse teams, including; hiring, training and development, team member engagement, and performance management ensuring all team members have tools to be successful in their role.

  • Create and implement SOPs and processes for reference tools and ensure succession planning within the AREA15 warehouse team

  • Ensure the safe transit of materials and use of equipment. Including but not limited to maintaining equipment, scheduling routine maintenance, procuring appropriate equipment and supplies, and performing regular inspections to ensure the safe transport and storage of all materials

  • Monitor the unloading of all materials assuring materials are staged for audit and actively assist in resolving discrepancies by notifying the responsible parties.

  • Ensure materials are efficiently stored to conserve space and comply with safety regulations.

  • Owns all administrative recording for the department such as inventory, logs, maintenance records, etc.

  • Provide leadership through positive example, effective goal setting, delegation, communication, and review of departmental metrics for appropriate action.

  • Protects all company assets in the warehouse including non-stock merchandise.

  • Provides a safe and clean environment for warehouse personnel.

  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.

  • Responsible for Warehouse productivity to meet facility schedules and maximize operational efficiency including warehouse operational hours to accommodate business requirements.

  • Safeguard and rotate on hand inventory.

  • Manage employee timecards, request for time off, warehouse schedule, and HR needs as required for management level employees.

  • Create ART! experience for all internal and external customers.

  • Proactive in promoting positive working relationships with all employees and external guests, and effectively communicating company policies, guidelines, and procedures

  • Manages continuous improvement projects productively and to handle other tasks as assigned.

  • Proactively identifies additional storage needs, including offsite, based on needs of business.

  • Adhere to department and company policies and procedures.

  • Be available to respond to time-sensitive matters.

  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to AREA15 standards.

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

  • Comfortable working in a creative, entrepreneurial start-up environment, introducing new concepts and innovations.

  • 5-7 years or more of previous warehouse management experience preferred, areas of focus including procurement, retail, and production equipment inventory.

  • Must be a proactive problem solver with the ability to react quickly without direction

  • Will have experience managing budgets, analyzing, basic accounting knowledge for payroll and payables

  • Will have experience managing, training, developing, and building teams

  • Able to bend regularly, stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs., unassisted

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills required

  • Capability to learn and develop a deep understanding of current and future IMS

  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects, and produce results within a reasonable time

  • Previous experience in a startup organization is preferred & ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

  • Outcome-oriented: results-focused with strong performance culture

  • Team-oriented: supportive, cooperative, and collaborative

  • Working knowledge of MS suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

  • Forklift certification and training experience required

  • OSHA 30 preferred

  • Six Sigma/LEAN certification preferred

  • Be available to respond to time sensitive matters

  • Ability to operate in extreme weather conditions as experienced in Las Vegas

  • Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record

  • Ability to commute between warehouse, office and venue(s).

  • Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights, and smoke.
