JOB SUMMARY:

The Engineer for Methods & Tools will identify areas of improvement and define solutions. In this role you will specify, prototype, document, and test all tools linked to cost reduction, quality improvement and/or schedule performance improvement. You will also fill the role of business analyst to communicate program-related information efficiently with the rest of the facility.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Identify potential improvements and find solutions
  • Specify new tools to improve engineering efficiency
  • Develop proof of concepts
  • Coordinate with Information Systems departments for shared and long term developments.
  • Test all new developments received from other departments
  • Support users by creating training documentation and coordinate with the Training Dept.
  • Mentor employees with less experience.

 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or related degree
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with engineering methodology and tool development
  • CATIA or similar software experience
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to work with other departments
  • Be open to work in a multicultural team
  • Proficient in MS Office Suites, Visual Basic, or other programming languages
