Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Based Therapist to join a dynamic early education and elementary education program in the Kanas City metro area. As a School-Based Therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the emotional well-being of students within the school setting. This position involves providing therapeutic services, conducting assessments, and collaborating with educators and parents to create a holistic support system for students.

Responsibilities:

Individual and Group Therapy:

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address the diverse emotional and behavioral needs of students.

Assessment and Diagnosis:

  • Perform thorough assessments to identify emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns.

Collaboration and Consultation:

  • Work closely with school staff, teachers, and administrators to create a collaborative support network for students.

Crisis Intervention:

  • Respond to crisis situations promptly, providing immediate support to students in need.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records for each student.

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work from an accredited school social work.

  • State licensure in Missouri (LMSW or LCSW).

  • Experience working with pre-K and/or elementary students in a school or similar setting.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to promoting mental health in the school community.
