SALARY: $21.93/hour
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Currently a Certified Police Officer in the State of Michigan, or able to be certified, having successfully completed MLEOTC training.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs professional police duties while providing security at the Genesee County courts
STATEMENT OF TASKS:
- Arrests individuals with outstanding warrants;
- Arrests individuals who are remanded during a court proceeding;
- Provide security at the entrance to the court, as well as within the courtroom while court is in session;
- Prepares and completes reports as directed.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to make decisions under adverse conditions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures;
- Ability to communicate with the Court and the public;
- Ability to physically make arrests and to protect the public and self in the face of dangerous situations;
- Ability to complete necessary reports;
- Ability to report for work timely and regularly.
