Mobility Management Partners is looking for an experienced  full time Transportation Mobility Travel Training Manager  who has demonstrated experience as a manager of a multi-member team and has leadership expertise.  Experience with special needs individuals and seniors is preferred, experience with public transit is preferred.  We offer a competitive salary, mileage reimbursement and benefits package. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • The duties and responsibilities listed herein are representative of the expectations for this position, which include but are not limited to the following:
  • Provide direct oversight of Travel Training staff.
  • Coordinates staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Organize and conduct regular Travel Training department meetings, both internal and external, and meetings with upper management as applicable.
  • Revise/Enhance and conduct quality assurance audits of both remote and in-field travel training activities to monitor employee performance.
  • Enhance, prepare, and present technical and program information to management and clients as required.
  • Develop, maintain, and submit periodic reports as required.
  • Maintain appropriate database entries and assist in the development of other documentation for all travel training activities.
  • Develop and maintain travel training materials targeted toward audiences at various levels of influence, education and understanding, ranging from travel training participants to agency executives and board members.
  • Manage individual schedule as well as schedules of client sessions and events, utilizing appropriate scheduling and tracking software solutions and other tools.
  • Provide input and feedback through collaborative processes to enhance and improve existing procedures and implement new policies and procedures where appropriate.
  • Designs and implements staff development and training programs.
  • Assist in the development of ongoing mentoring and annual performance evaluations of assigned staff.
  • Reviews and approves payroll, mileage, and expense claims for assigned staff.
  • Maintain appropriate professional communications with clients, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Investigates and responds to customer complaints regarding program quality as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in social services, Orientation and Mobility Instruction, or a related field, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 4-6 years demonstrated managerial and leadership experience managing a multi-member team.
  • With at least 2-3 of these years working in settings with older adults or individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • 2-3 years’ experience managing staff in remote situations preferred.
  • Public Transit Experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in interviewing and providing ongoing assessments and documentation skills for individuals with disabilities/seniors preferred
  • Knowledge of/sensitivity to general issues and mobility challenges faced by individuals with disabilities/older adults in utilizing public transportation systems preferred.
  • An understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations and other applicable local, state, and federal laws governing the provision of transportation services to individuals with disabilities is preferred
  • MS Office computer skills including Teams, and proficiency in other computer tools such as Google Maps, transit apps, Zoom.
  • Bilingual skills preferred- speaking, writing, and reading in English and Spanish.

  • Ability to work independently and constructively in a field environment with the ability to meet project commitments in a timely manner.
  • Ability to utilize MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and other software tools to effectively design, maintain and complete audits/reports as required by project, calendar field assignments and to document and record all other work-related activities.
  • Ability to maintain ongoing effective communications with management, staff, and other respective parties through effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge and skills in the use of MS Office Suite tools including Teams, and proficiency in other computer tools such as Google Maps, transit apps, and Zoom.
  • Ability to learn, understand and teach the use of transit maps and schedules to individuals with a variety of skill levels.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Driver’s License, vehicle insurance, good driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Required certification in Adult CPR and First Aid (training will be provided).
  • Positive results from both criminal and work history background checks.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to be outdoors during inclement weather. The Employee must be able to react and provide reasonable assistance to participants in the event of an emergency. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, and otherwise transport and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs. The employee is required to utilize computer equipment; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, and peripheral vision and depth perception in use of a computer, in driving, and in navigating public transportation systems.
