Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Vehicle Mechanic  Req Number CRA-24-00001   Open Date 1/3/2024   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Number of Openings 1   Number Filled 0   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Description $700 SIGN ON BONUS GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Repairs and overhauls automobiles, buses, trucks and other automotive vehicles within the Pathfinder vehicle fleet. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs service inspections on all Pathfinder vehicles to include changing engine oil, oil filters, lubricating vehicles, inspect complete steering systems and replace all defective parts that are not within manufacturer's specifications. Inspect braking system and replace as needed, brake shoes, pads, and all related parts  including anti-lock braking systems. Troubleshoot and repair entire auto's electrical systems such as electronic ignition, lights, gauges, and electrical system for air conditioning systems, starters and alternators. Troubleshoot engine systems and repair or replace as needed. Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on automatic transmissions to include fluid and filter replacement, external manual adjustments, clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing. Responds to service call as necessary to repair or replace vehicles. Mends damaged body parts by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts. Replaces and adjusts headlights and repairs accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors and windshield wipers. Assists the vehicle maintenance supervisor in maintaining the auto mechanic area in an orderly manner. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.   Position Requirements  High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; plus 2 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess current valid Arkansas Driver's License, have current auto liability insurance coverage and registration and be physically able to drive to various locations in Arkansas.     Location Transportation   EOE Statement PATHFINDER INC.
