Share Email Opening Title Senior Accounting Manager  Category Accounting/Finance   Description Position Overview Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for providing direct leadership to members of Wilbert's general accounting team. This role will be focused on timely and accurate execution of accounting activities, the integrity of key processes and reported results, coordination with our parent company's internal audit department, and leading continuous improvement in various capacities. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct leadership to the accounting team including establishing measurable goals / objectives, providing timely performance feedback, and leading continuous growth and development for the employees. Develop and maintain accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization. Supervise and manage day-to-day accounting functions, including (but not limited to) general ledger management, cash, fixed assets, lease accounting, taxes, payroll, accrued expenses, and financial reporting. Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, including serving as a preparer and/or review of various journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Oversee and participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Manage tax planning and preparation, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and laws. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations, while adhering to US GAAP standards. Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements. Assist with the planning and execution of various audits completed by parent company's internal audit department providing necessary documentation and explanations as necessary. Collaborate with other departments to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.   Position Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting Licensed CPA Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or internal audit with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience managing a team of accounting professionals Strong knowledge of GAAP Able to work in a fast-paced environment meeting monthly close and reporting deadlines. Strong interpersonal, analytical, management, communication, and leadership skills Minimum 3-4 years of experience working with an ERP system. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field Experience in a manufacturing environment Experience working in a company with multiple locations across the USA Public accounting experience Experience with Syspro ERP and/or Power BI Financial systems implementation experience NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
