Description

AREA15 is looking for an experienced, full-time Senior Manager of Attractions to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our amusement activations. The Senior Manager of Attractions will be responsible for the daily operations of AREA15 amusements including completing daily safety checks, maintaining high level knowledge of attractions and procedures, completing administrative duties, and managing amusement staff. Ideal candidate will ensure safe operations of equipment while guaranteeing an exceptional visitor experience. The selected candidate will supervise staff across various shifts.

Position Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Responsible for the operation of all AREA15 rides and attractions.
  • Achieve financial metrics through the efficient and strategic execution and exceptional visitor service protocols.
  • Ensures all departmental safety and ride procedures are consistently adhered to.
  • Works with Attractions Manager to provide guidance and oversight into development, implementation, and updates to training literature including Standard Operating Procedures, general department policies, evacuation training and facilitation courses to exceed safety standards.
  • Work closely with the Attraction Department’s management team effectively deliver guest satisfaction and make a positive impact with our KPI’s.
  • Monitors and provides support with managing labor and operating expenses.
  • Monitors and provides support with satisfying our training and compliance processes.
  • Accountable for the leadership of the management team which includes training and development, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure Attraction ticketing is running smoothly, working with the Ticketing Manager for changes, closures, and anything else related to ticketing.
  • Communicates department status to Department Head on an ongoing basis, including employee concerns, guest complaints, special requests, losses, and any other unusual occurrences or situations in order to maintain optimal department performance.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the AREA15 brand.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Activations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • At least 5 years of managerial experience with at least 3 years occurring in an amusement park type setting required.
  • The ability to occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Able to provide lift certification for both boom and scissor lifts within 30 days of employment.
  • Adept at data analysis, critical thinking with a strong background in process improvement and change management.
  • Able to climb stairs/ladders.
  • Able to operate and maneuver in/around tight spaces.
  • Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes.
  • Able to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
  • Possession of a valid state driver’s license.
  • Previous ticketing experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for majority of shift.
  • Able to work varied shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Able to work in dark environments that features fog and strobe lighting effects that may be harmful to people with photo sensitivities.
