Share Email Opening Title Aquatic Party Host   Description JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Birthday Party Coordinator & Assistant Aquatic Manager, this person is responsible for setting up party area, serving food and beverages, and catering to party’s needs.   Position Aquatic Party Host   Position Requirements EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING Quality customer service skills Experience in handling customer needs with a professional and friendly attitude KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Ability to follow written and verbal directions Must be able to work with staff and customers in a positive and professional manner Ability to handle challenging customer questions/concerns A strong knowledge of customer service philosophies and practices DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Greet and direct party guests towards the party area Interacts with party guests Take out and serve cake, desserts, drinks and other food items Obtain presents, balloons, party bags, etc. from back room that the group brought for their party Sets up utensils and paper products Cleans up party area after each party Assists Birthday Party Coordinator in necessary tasks Abide by the Bolingbrook Park District dress code for your area Perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the Park District’s safety program Work as a Team Player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Counting: to count guests Writing: to fill out daily records Talking/Hearing: to communicate with staff and public Standing: while performing tasks Reaching: to retrieve items from shelves Pulling: to open drawers Pushing: to close drawers Stooping: to retrieve objects at lower levels: to put supplies away Crouching: to retrieve objects at lower levels: to put supplies away Lifting: to put supplies away Seeing: to obtain information from written material COGNITIVE CONSIDERATIONS Must have the ability to read, write and organize materials. Must be able to relate to other people in a professional manner.  Must exhibit good safety awareness and judgment.
