Job Summary:

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist, the Recruiting Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the movement of applicants through the recruitment and hiring process. They support the Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist in attracting candidates, evaluating resumes, and managing new hire paperwork. Additional responsibilities include consulting with managers to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives and posting job descriptions on DEAI, career, and university job boards. In addition, the Recruiting Specialist performs administrative functions inclusive of creating job offer letters, E-Verify completion, and validating the submission of new hire compliance documents.

This is a facilitative and collaborative role that requires a combination of focus, proactiveness, flexibility, and interpersonal savviness. It is essential that the Recruiting Specialist demonstrates professionalism in their interactions and communications with others; the ability to make others feel welcome is essential.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in reviewing applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
  • Prepare a report on a weekly basis for the tasks completed or in progress.
  • Assist in consulting with managers to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives.
  • Stay active with current with job boards, social networks, and platforms to find talent.
  • Post job descriptions on career websites, career boards, DEAI websites, and university boards.
  • Source candidates by using databases and social media.
  • Source qualified active and passive candidates by building talent networks.
  • Use a multi-channel approach to recruit.
  • Grow and nurture high-touch relationships with a database of qualified active and passive talent to pull from as new positions open.
  • Use recruiting tools like tests and assignments to assess candidates’ skills.
  • Help the hiring team with recruiting methods and interview questions.
  • Contact new employees and ensure new hire compliance documents have been submitted.
  • Prepare new hire packets and assist with new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires.
  • Adhere to laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Adhere to personal data privacy regulations.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Work experience of three (3) years as a Recruiting Specialist or similar role in HR.

  • Unquestionable ethics and integrity.
  • Ability and willingness to learn about the position requirements.
  • Mastery with job boards.
  • Ability to scan large volumes of resumes.
  • Experience in working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Understanding and familiarity with Recruitment Marketing.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience using Word and Excel in the work environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong time-management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Impeccable communication skills in written and verbal forms.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

 

 

If hired, we require all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19, unless a medical or religious accommodation is needed as determined on a case-by-case basis.

 

The expected hourly rate for this role is $25.00.  The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
