JOB OVERVIEW

This individual will be responsible for the layout and design of customer projects for manufacturing.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process customer projects for design/layout for best manufacturing principles.
  • Layout customer drawings for processing on lasers, punch, waterjet, and press breaks.
  • Work with project managers to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Ensure proper document flow in a timely fashion to other areas of the organization for both internal and external customers.
  • Drive / participate in process improvement activities for manufacturing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic manufacturing principles in sheet metal.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
  • Strong background in Solidworks or other 3-D Software.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Office, and Outlook.
  • Effective in developing and maintaining relationships.
  • Highest level of ethical principles and standards.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead multiple functions through effective planning and organizing.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to influence others.
  • High level of creativity.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Ideal candidate will have some experience with fabrication or machining.
  • Prefer to have individual to be able to read and interpret drawings.
  • Good references with excellent work attendance and attitude.
