Established June 15, 1971, Valley Community Services Board is a publicly funded organization where citizens of Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta and Highland Counties can receive Behavioral Health, Substance Use and Developmental Services services. Valley Community Services Board serves as the single point of entry into publicly funded mental health, developmental, and substance use disorder services for these localities.

This is an FLSA exempt position. The Coordinator for Mobile Crisis Services will supervise a team within the Valley CSB catchment area, which consists of Augusta County, Highland County, Staunton City and Waynesboro City. The position supervises a team of clinicians that provide mobile crisis responses to homes and communities for adults, adolescents and children. Licensure as LPC, LCSW, or equivalent in VA required with experience in crisis services strongly preferred. A minimum of 1 year’s supervisory experience is required. This position provides/participates in training for communities/stakeholders/Mobile Crisis staff. This position will require occasional travel within the area and the Commonwealth of Virginia for supervision, training, meetings, and mobile crisis response back-up. i.e., successful completion and receipt of background clearances, including fingerprint background check, drug screening & satisfactory references).
Graduate degree required with a major course of study in Human Services acceptable by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a sufficient degree to allow licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Substance Abuse Practitioner, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Virginia license as a Registered Nurse and 36 months professional work experience with a psychiatric population. Professional licensure required.
Must currently be or be eligible to become a Virginia Certified Prescreener and Certified Crisis Stabilization Provider. Must complete Agency orientations, Therapeutic Options, CPR, First Aid, Infection Control, Human Rights, Boundaries, Fire Safety, Diversity, Computer Training, False Claims
Act and other trainings as required. Recertification required for Therapeutic Options, CPR, Infection Control, Human Rights, False Claims Act, First Aid and Veteran Culture.
