Description

JOB SUMMARY: This position will work closely with the El Centro and Family Growth - Mercer staff to provide community education about Gun Violence Intervention Program services, referral to community support programs, advocacy and translation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist with translation for all of the following tasks:

  • Determine appropriateness of referral for outpatient clinical services
  • Warm hand off for referral, if internal
  • Make external referrals as necessary
  • Advocacy
  • Assistance with VCCO application as appropriate
  • Participate in community outreach including community events as needed

OTHER DUTIES: Some nights required and possible Saturdays for public events as assigned by Associate Director

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: computer literacy, Fluent Spanish (written and oral)

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS: no

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 yrs experience

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED: N/A
