Assist individuals and families experiencing homelessness exit homelessness through securing and stabilizing in permanent housing as a Rapid Rehousing Specialist. This position requires experience working with community resources and partners who provide homeless assistance as well as mainstream services. This position will work with households experiencing homelessness by determining eligibility for short term rental assistance; locating and securing permanent housing; performing habitability inspections for potential units; completing recertifications for continued rental assistance; linking individuals and families to mainstream resources; as well as communicating regularly with landlords and property managers. This is a grant funded position.   Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in a human services field, have at least 1 year experience in working with community resources or individuals experiencing homelessness. or a combination of education and experience; understand and follow Housing First principles, and have a valid VA driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
