Share Email Opening Title Plant Manager  Category Manufacturing   Description SUMMARY Plant Manager responsible for all operations of a manufacturing HUB and with multiple Spokes / Service locations. Role includes ensuring production volumes, inventories and shipments meet customer requirements. Manager will also be responsible for quality control of products and service to all customers. As Regional Manager this individual will have direct reports located in several Spoke locations as well as the main manufacturing plant. Operations include vault manufacturing, cremation services, cemetery operations (services), casket inventory and delivery. This role has a strong impact on sales and works closely with the sales operations. Make regular site visits and report any concerns or issues to RVP Work well in team environment to ensure safety, quality, and production guidelines are followed. Work with all locations to organize and manage inventory, storage & transportation. Coordinate transportation providers to ensure timely movement of shipments. Respond to customer inquiries and refer to proper department. Ensure that quality of services provided meets required standards. Work with location managers to address and resolve shipment and inventory issues. Assist managers with problem solving/troubleshooting processing concerns. Participate in meetings and audits. Monitor processes and report any abnormalities to RVP.   Position Requirements POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or general educational development; or, 6 – 12 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience / Abilities: Previous forklift training and experience Detail oriented Demonstrate Initiative to Learn Demonstrate Initiative as Self-Starter Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate and work well with different people at all levels. Ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment. Demonstrated ability to plan and problem solve in a complex and fluid production environment. Adhere to zero tolerance safety culture. 100% participation with prescribed safety programs Report to workstation in a timely and consistent fashion in compliance with attendance policy Ability to visually inspect and verify burial vaults & urns meet customer specifications. Ability to utilize overhead hoist and crane system controls. Ability to perform visual inspection of equipment and note defects prior to use. Ability to provide problem solving/troubleshooting skills as necessary to address processing issues. Computer skills: Basic computer knowledge.
