If you aspire to quality and excellence, we look forward to the opportunity to review your application.   Description Summary: Compile information and records to draw up purchase orders for procurement of materials and services. Duties: Prepare, process, distribute and receive requisitions and purchase orders Order materials, supplies and/or equipment Prepare documentation of projects, contracts, transactions, or regulatory compliance Prepare, review and maintain purchasing files, reports and price lists Receive shipments and ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications Compare suppliers' bills with bids and purchase orders to verify accuracy Record and process dispatch and/or transfer of items/units Document and maintain manufacturing inventory Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, determine product availability, request bids, and negotiate pricing and terms of sales Research product application and information Request and follow up on warranty information and claims Assist with production operator manual creation Assist with marketing as needed Provide support for parts sales, rental sales, service and business telephone as needed Communicate with employees and managers as needed to meet operational and customer needs, and maintain smooth operation of business functions Observe health and safety precautions required to protect people and property All other duties as assigned   Position Requirements Education, Knowledge and Skills: 2 years of applicable purchasing experience, or combined relevant education and experience required 2 years computer experience including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) required Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience with equipment parts preferred Sales experience preferred Strong customer service skills and knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, to include assessing needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as data entry, managing documents and records, and other office procedures and technology Strong written and oral communication skills, to include effectively conveying information to others, and giving full attention to what other people are saying and taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times Able to listen to, read, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions provided in English Able to work independently with minimal supervision; identifying what needs to be done and following through without instruction Able to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use and dexterity of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, walking, standing, stooping, and sitting for prolonged periods of time.
