Share Email Opening Title Cook/Office Assistant - Elgin and Spalding  Description General Purpose The cook/office assistant will plan, order and organize ingredients, and prepare meals for employees at the Elgin feedlot and also will be backup coverage to the office personnel in Elgin and Spalding Duties/Responsibilities: Backup coverage when office personnel is absent in Elgin and Spalding feedlots Setting up, cleaning, and organizing kitchen at Elgin and Spalding feedlots Plans menu for month at Elgin feedlot Prepares meals and packages to-go orders at Elgin and/or Spalding feedlots Conducts daily town errand runs Clean designated building areas and maintaining supplies (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying trash, restroom cleaning, etc.) Stock vending in Elgin and Spalding feedlots Assist with scale and phone as needed Assist in other office duties when needed Minimum Qualifications Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently Individual must be team oriented. Proven professional communication, presentation, and customer service skills. High attention to detail. Self-motivated and self-directed Computer experience preferred (Outlook, Microsoft Office, Fusion, Ag Vision, Quickbooks)   Position Requirements Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally Dress and Personal Protective Equipment: Must wear appropriate clothing for all operations to protect against injury; no loose clothing; wear gloves when necessary; and any other safety protection device such as safety eye wear.   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Shift Days   Position Join Our Team at the Heart of the Feedlot!
