Manufacturing Strategy Engineer  

Description
  • Develop equipment re-use strategy for Inteva North American facilities. Equipment examples: vibration and sonic welders, laser and sonic scoring, robotic assembly cells, flame treat, plasma treat, adhesive application (manual, robotic, roll coat), paint lines, press lamination, die trim, foam systems, bladder press, skin pattern cutters
  • Maintain capacity and life-cycle charts for all equipment
  • Create master plan for rebuild timing and communicate to engineering and pursuit teams accordingly
  • Investigate most cost-effective practices for rebuild and coordinate vendor selection
  • Provide cost estimates for equipment rebuild and ensure they are included in proper business pursuit estimates
  • Provide specifications (SOR’s) and act as lead equipment engineer on related rebuilds
  • Ensure equipment is rebuilt to all current Inteva standards for safety and ergonomics
  • Coordinate equipment storage at Inteva sites to enable rebuild; maintain status of equipment storage in detail
  • Effectively communicate re-use plan to engineering teams and manufacturing plants

Position Requirements
  • 5+ years manufacturing engineering for equipment experience.
  • English advanced.
  • Experience in manufacturing equipment build procedures: SOR, timing milestones, buyoff, shipping, installation
  • Knowledge of equipment safety standards, lean manufacturing and ergonomics
  • Knowledge and understanding of primary fundamental manufacturing processes for automotive interiors
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks under demanding situations
  • Effective problem-solving skills
