Mills James is looking for an experienced and innovative Creative Director to take the lead in shaping and executing winning creative event concepts for our corporate clients. This role is pivotal in bringing our clients' visions to life and ensuring exceptional event experiences that align with their brand and objectives.
Creative Director Key Responsibilities:
Leads by Example: Treats everyone with courtesy and respect.
Creative Strategy: Develop and implement creative strategies for corporate and brand events, driving engagement and aligning with client goals.
Client Collaboration: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their objectives and provide expert guidance to create customized event solutions that exceed expectations.
Team Leadership: mentor a team of creative professionals, including, Production Managers, Producers, Designers, Scenic Designers and Content Creators, to ensure cohesive collaboration and exceptional results.
Innovation: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative event production techniques to build upon Mills James’ reputation as a creative leader in the event industry.
Budget Management: Work with the production team to ensure projects are executed within budget constraints while delivering exceptional value to clients.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality in creative and event production, ensuring memorable and flawless event experiences for attendees.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless event execution, including technical and production teams, logistics, and account managers.
Business Development: Has the skill to both formulate and present ideas with equal excellence, exemplifying a balance of self-assuredness and modesty, decisiveness and openness, and serves as a rallying team leader in the pursuit of new business.
Qualifications for the Creative Director:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Event Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in corporate event production, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of delivering creative, impactful, and memorable corporate events.
- Strong understanding of branding, storytelling, and design principles.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
- Proficiency with event management software and tools.
- Knowledge of emerging event technologies and trends.
- A strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail.
- Video production and event planning experience a plus.
