Works with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality representatives to evaluate nonconformances, manufacturing processes, work instructions, measurement techniques, and inspection frequencies to improve processes, reduce processing variation, and minimize scrap; all in support of continual improvement.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Working in a dynamic, team environment to support quality functions (have a REAL impact- affect change!)
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) including the development, review, and/or compilation of: PFMEAs, Control Plans, Inspections, Process Flow Diagrams, check sheets, dimensional analysis reports, material testing results and certifications, Measurement Systems Analysis, Process Control, and capability studies (run-at-rate, cleanliness, Millipore testing qualified laboratory documentation, IMDS, CQIs, PSWs, and supplier PPAPs.
Structured problem solving including but not limited to: Root Cause Analysis, Fishbone diagrams, 5Why (3 x 5s), 8Ds.
Ability to form Design of Experiments
Create, modify, and review work instructions as needed
Perform and review internal audits for system efficiency as it pertains to ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016
Supports quality team members with inspection techniques, gage control, and continuous improvement
Assists with product inspection when necessary
Supports plant wide implementation of IATF 16949:2016, customer specific requirements, and sanctioned interpretations
Communicate both internally and externally in regards to quality concerns, KPIs, PPAP deliverable status, etc.
Supports 5S implementation
Assists Quality Manager with training

Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma; engineering or adjacent degree desirable
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Quality Engineer OR similar function within the automotive/manufacturing industries
Technical training through ASQ or technical organization in quality methodologies; CQE desired
Training and familiarity with AIAG Core Tools, ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016
Internal Auditor certification
Ability to read blueprints and drawings, thorough knowledge of GD&T
Familiarity with common instrumentation/gages (micrometers, calipers, thread gages, depth gages, optical comparators, profilometers, surface plate inspection, etc.)
Able to read, write, and speak English
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and Outlook- Access experience is desirable, but not required).
Helpful to have knowledge of Plex ER
Desirable but not required to have CMM experience with programming (huge plus)
Comfortable with working in both an office and shop floor setting requiring the use of basic PPE (eye protection, hearing protection, and non-slip footwear).
Able to comply with all internal, state, and federal safety requirements
No physical limitations to (infrequently) lift, push, or pull up to 25lbs, and regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and sitting during shift.
