Position Summary: The Associate Director of Clinical Services is responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the agency’s clinical counseling services as well as the Clinical program’s collaboration with other agency programs and community partners. The Associate Director is responsible for administrative oversight of the Clinical Program, particularly tasks associated with measurement of client outcomes, program standards, and effective delivery of therapeutic services in both shelter and community-based settings. In keeping with the vision and theory of practice established by the Director of Clinical Services, the Associate Director maintains standards of practice and ensures that the goals, objectives, and work product of the program are aligned with the agency mission, advance agency and program strategic goals and are accurately documented according to program standards. The Associate Director is responsible for maintaining program integrity within the agency and in the community. The primary location of this job is Baltimore City, with occasional travel to satellite locations required. This position includes opportunities for remote work.

Standard Hours:  Hybrid: Monday - Friday;  9-5 or 10-6.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services to achieve the following;
    • Develop and implement program goals and objectives,
    • Develop and implement staffing plans and professional development strategies.
    • Establish, implement and maintain program standards, policies, procedures and quality assurance.
    • Efficiently manage resources, including allocation and utilization of operations and personnel budgets.
  • Meet weekly with direct reports in one-on-one and/or team meetings to provide feedback and direction.
  • Provide clinical and reflective supervision to other Clinicians as needed.
  • Contribute to the promotion of a Trauma-Informed Care model within the Clinical Services program and the broader agency through training, consultation, and policy recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Supervisor to identify training opportunities as well as develop and implement annual staff training and professional development plans.
  • Ensure Clinical Services staff meet professional standards of practice and State licensing requirements.
  • Ensure the collection and integrity of client service data.
  • Use agency database and other methods to monitor and report on program quality and key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Supervisor on intern and volunteer recruitment, utilization, supervision and training for Clinical Program.
  • Assist in securing grant funding, including grant writing and funder relations.
  • Ensure compliance with terms of contracts and grants, including grant project management and reporting.
  • Represent HRM on local and statewide coalitions, committees, and boards as necessary.
  • Provide professional presentations for educational and marketing purposes.
  • Establish service linkage agreements to increase the number of clients served, and provide more comprehensive services to clients
  • Adapt services based on best practices established by research in the field and analysis of data produced by programs
  • Coordinate staff participation in other tasks when required to support critical agency functions such as site or hotline coverage
  • Collaborate with other program leaders to maintain CPS and other mandated reporting responsibilities of the agency.
