A day in the life of a Strategic Technology Leader:
- Managing all technology operations, hardware and other technology assets for the company.
- Conducting analysis and planning of systems infrastructure to forecast and address the capacity needs of the business
- Planning, execution, coordination (internally and with third party vendors) on implementation and service operations of all IT systems and infrastructure
- Manage all financial aspects of the Business Systems Department, including purchasing, budgeting and budget review and develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
- Managing, mentoring, and growing a team of technology and database professionals responsible for the internal support and maintenance of company technology
- Determining which tasks should be handled internally and which tasks should be outsourced, while managing relationships with those vendors, providers and contractors
- Devising and establishing IT policies and systems to support the implementation of company strategies
- Maintaining ultimate accountability for Prism’s overall information security program, while managing the implementation, updating, and continuous evolution of our security policies and protection of internal and external client data
- Analyzing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs and collaborating with leaders to find solutions
- Managing the development of appropriate training materials and programs to support end user training and support
- Effective communication of information and impact of change to end-users, preparing and presenting project status to management
- Ensure the company and the team are up to date on the latest technology resources and practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine business and systems requirements for new technology implementations
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret data to share with necessary team members; share findings as requested to assist in training needs;
- Perform any other duties as requested by the Vice President
- Director of Technology will maintain a positive attitude that enhances the organizations reputation and growth by accepting ownership of existing and new enhancements/processes; should always be ready to Improve and change as the client and business requires;
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety and compliance, and report any concerns of non-compliance in any area to your manager immediately.
