Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position will ensure the successful execution, monitoring, and control of projects by maintaining project schedules, budgets and resources and implementing and improving project control systems and procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project Planning and Monitoring: Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are executed within established parameters.
  • Cost Estimation and Budget Management: Assist in cost estimation, budget creation, and control activities. Monitor expenditures and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks. Implement strategies to manage risks effectively, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Generate and maintain project documentation, progress reports, and presentations for stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status and key metrics.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with project managers, teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, requirements, and outcomes. Maintain clear and effective communication channels.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate project control processes and systems to identify areas for improvement. Implement Project Management Office (PMO) initiatives for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

EDUCATION, LICENSES AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's degree in related field is preferred; will consider equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years proven experience working in project control or project management within a relevant industry.
  • Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore or equivalent) and MS Office Suite.
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.

  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone; specific vision abilities required include close vision due to computer work; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Travel: Minimal amount of travel required
