For more information please visit www.astrazeneca.com .   Description Location: Frederick, MD We are currently seeking freshmen, sophomore, and junior students working towards a degree in a STEM field for a 10 week internship during the summer of 2024.   Primary Duties: There are multiple projects under this set of openings, and duties will have variance based on assigned project and managers. Below are expected duties, including some aligned to a specific project Collect, analyze, and measure data. Revise manufacturing SOPs to support SOP improvement initiatives.  Construct value stream maps, identifying and implementing cost saving initiatives, Pi Vision dashboard builds, data entry and high level assessment of process analytics data for future improvement initiatives.    Perform an analysis on recently completed manufacturing campaigns to determine if any buffer quantities can be reduced. Provide review of batch records used in production to determine materials used Perform a waste reduction/sustainability project for the operations Process data entry and evaluation for future initiatives. Enact document creation and revisions to support SOP improvement initiatives and electronic batch records implementation.    Position Requirements Position Requirements: Freshmen, sophomore and junior students working towards a degree in a STEM field Data analysis and dashboard tool exposure, like PowerBI or Pi Vision, is a plus Ability to report onsite to AZ's Frederick, MD site 5 days per week. This role does not allocate relocation assistance.
