The Position

Family Service Agency is contracted with various parties to provide therapeutic services to children and adults.

The Clinic Therapist provides therapeutic services to clients with a variety of conditions. Services are provided in a clinic setting, via telehealth, or in the community M-F between 8:30am-7:00pm. This position reports to and is supervised by the Clinical Director.

Working with those impacted by trauma can be fulfilling and meaningful, yet simultaneously exhausting and heart-rending. FSA strives to be a trauma-informed and resilience-oriented organization, actively identifying and employing methods to support staff to embody a healthy and sustainable balance of care for both themselves and others.

Sample Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate individual and/or couples and/or family therapy using evidence-based treatment modalities and other promising practices known to be effective with populations served. Some payers require clinicians to facilitate brief therapy that is solution-focused.

  • Conduct clinical assessments evaluating the current status of clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health and considering relevant cultural issues and concerns.

  • Compose treatment plans informed by clinical assessments.

  • Document all clinical and service activities promptly after providing service, providing information needed for billing purposes.

  • Engage in case management activities, utilizing forms/documents required by payers.

  • Foster positive interagency relationships and provide referrals for any indicated outside resources.

 
Position Requirements

Employment Requirements:

  • Masters degree required. Must be one of the following: Must be an AMFT, ASW, APCC, or be LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC; OR a student current enrolled in master’s or doctoral-level clinical program at an accredited university.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year working with children and teens preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experienced preferred.

  • Excellent clinical, interpersonal, analytical, computer, written, and verbal communication skills required.

  • Professional attitude, enjoys teamwork, and ability to maintain confidentiality a must.

  • Valid CA driver license and proof of insurance required.

 

Classification, Hours and Pay Rate:

  • This position is 30-40 hours per week, non-exempt, with benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending accounts and 403(b) retirement plan. Generous vacation, holiday, and sick leave also offered; this benefit is prorated when accepting a part-time opportunity.

  • Pay range is between $29-$38/hour, DOE and qualifications.
