Computer Vision Scientist - Software Engineer VI

Description

As a Principal Scientist in Computer Vision (Software Engineer Level VI) you will be a key individual contributor to programs and efforts in intelligence, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, sensor fusion, EO/IR imagery analysis, and real-time autonomous systems (e.g., UAS platforms, precision strike weapons, UGVs, etc.).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take point on the development of state-of-the-art vision-based sensing algorithms and software solutions deployed by key government agencies and commercial companies
  • Research and implement computer vision and machine learning models
  • Design, develop, and implement applications for autonomous and imaging systems. Build prototype proof-of-concept software as well as production level software
  • Analyze user needs and develop solutions
  • Work with program manager to meet specification needs
  • Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code
  • Create flowcharts, diagrams, and user guides for new and existing programs • Document all programming tasks and procedures

The annual salary range for this position is $201K - $284K

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ph.D degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and other related fields
  • Proficient programming in at least one programming language (e.g., C, C++, Matlab, or Python), though proficiency in multiple languages is preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, extensive experience in a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of Industry or academic research experience on cutting edge computer vision technologies
  • Experience with modern computer vision techniques and deep learning algorithms
