SharePoint Design/Developer

U.S. Attorneys Office Northern District of Texas

Period of Performance: 08/24/2023 - 08/23/2024 with additional year options to extend

General Qualifications: The candidate must possess essential qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgement, and an ability to work cooperatively with others. The contractor must be able to perform a wide range of information technology support to meet the USAO information needs and perform a variety of tasks.

Functional Responsibility / Tasks:

The candidate shall perform, but is not limited to the following duties:

Primary task:

  • Plan, design and create a robust SharePoint environment for the district.
  • Meet with management and district employees to discuss the district's SharePoint environment needs and then plan, design, test, implement and debug that SharePoint environment until it meets the district's needs. This will be an iterative process.
  • Make recommendations on system and information architecture, security considerations and governance.
  • Must have the aptitude to analyze and understand the district's work processes, build a SharePoint environment that facilitates them and adheres to DOJ policies and guidelines. This will include creating custom forms, custom lists, document libraries, calendars, and other SharePoint features, including SharePoint add-ins and creating custom SharePoint content.
  • Train district employees on how to use the SharePoint environment and develop training materials for district employees, including detailed, step by step, graphical presentations and manuals.
  • Create documentation for administering the SharePoint environment for district IT personnel.

Secondary task:

  • Work with management and employees to identify ways to improve office automation through, in addition to SharePoint, Microsoft Word templates, Microsoft Access Databases, Adobe Acrobat forms, Microsoft Teams, and other online collaborative tools.
  • Provide recommendations and advice about ways to improve workflows through software.
  • Implement those recommendations through applications used by the district to improve workflow and enable district employees to improve processes.
  • Document the applications for district IT personnel and provide training to district personnel.
 
Position Requirements

Minimum/General Experience and Years of Experience:

  • Three (3) years’ experience planning and designing Microsoft SharePoint environments.
  • Experience with coding, including VBA and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Apps for Business.
  • Experience using SharePoint, Custom Workflows and Document Libraries.
  • Experience using tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft SharePoint Designer, Microsoft InfoPath, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Publisher, or Microsoft PowerApps.
  • Experience establishing documentation for operation and maintenance of SharePoint environments.
  • Experience understanding workflow processes and translating them to SharePoint.
  • Experience providing customer support.
  • Team player with logical problem-solving skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
