We are seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to join our team remotely and in TCG's Alexandria, VA office three (3) days per week. The ideal candidate will: Lead a team of engineering technicians in all field support, on-site support, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting efforts for fiber-optic shipboard networking systems. Lead all installation, test & evaluation, troubleshooting, repair and alteration of fiber-optic shipboard networking systems equipment for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) installations. Develop equipment installation and test procedures. Investigate, analyze, and resolve fiber-optic shipboard networking systems issues. Provide on-site support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) host government and industrial activities as it relates to fiber-optic shipboard networking systems equipment.   Position Requirements Required Education, Skills, and Experience: BS in Engineering or High school/vocational school degree or GED certificate and five (5) years of experience. Fifteen (15) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and testing of U.S. Navy interior communications systems, networks and/or network user systems. Experience with fiber-optic shipboard networking systems, Gigabit Ethernet Data Multiplex System (GEDMS) or Fiber Optic Data Multiplex System (FODMS). Extensive travel, including internationally, is required for this position due to the on-site nature of the role. Ability to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. Exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs. Ability to work on and climb ladders, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.
