$2.50/hr shift differential for evenings, overnights, and weekends

Emergency Services is a 24/7 response for psychiatric crisis assessing for immediate psychiatric intervention and issuance of temporary detention orders (TDO) for individuals in need of mandated treatment in a psychiatric hospital.
The Emergency Services Counselor performs preliminary mental status assessments and short-term crisis intervention services. Makes referrals or coordinates admissions to treatment services. This level of Counselor may train or provide consultation with other counselors on an assigned shift or in an area of specialization (e.g. geriatrics, child and adolescent, etc.)

Requirements: Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling or Registered Nurse and three (3) years of experience in a psychiatric care setting including counseling and crisis intervention functions.
Licensed as a Mental Health Clinician such as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Must be eligible or approved for MCO credentialing. Certified Prescreener - Prescreener certification modules must be successfully completed within 30 days of hire.
