Description

LMSW or LCSW needed for part-time (3 days a week), temporary position (could become permanent later on) working with adults at an outpatient program at a community based organization in Washington Heights, Manhattan. Potential to expand hours to full-time if desired.

Clinician and supervisor positions available at an adult outpatient program that's part of a larger community based organization in Washington Heights!

- Accrue clinical hours as an LMSW therapist or start to gain clinical supervision experience as an LCSW supervisor
- in-person AND remote positions available
- assignments start out as temporary and 3 days/week; position can grow to full-time and permanent

Specifically, the therapist is responsible for:
• Performing psychosocial evaluations to assess clients at intake
• Providing weekly individual therapy sessions to adults living with mental illness and potentially co-occurring SUD (substance use disorder)
• Working closely with a treatment team of psychiatrists, other therapists, and SUD counselors.
• Participating in weekly case conferences, team meetings and clinical supervision
• Maintaining strong clinical records on entire caseload in accordance with all regulatory requirements
• Working with a case manager to connect clients with outside resources as needed

 

For LMSW social workers who are seeking to accrue clinical hours towards their LCSW, clinical supervision can be provided.

 

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications for Position:
• Master’s in social work; NY State Certification (LMSW or LCSW)
• 1+ years of experience providing therapeutic interventions to people living with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders  strongly preferred
• Bilingual Spanish a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
