Share Email Opening Title Sign Installer (Covington, GA)   Description JOB SUMMARY: Maintain sign orders, fabricate aluminum and construction signs, help prepare sign orders, keep inventory of stock, order signs and materials and performs a variety of general shop duties. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Interpret and comprehend sign order requirements from written sales orders and verbal instructions. Collect, lift, and transport inventory items such as reflective sheeting, aluminum blanks, tools, and completed signs. Fabricate aluminum and composite signs by cutting, rounding, and sheeting. Trim the edges of sheeted sign blanks. Operate a sign maker computer to produce cut letters of different sizes. Mark, position, and apply letters to the sign face. Assist in creating custom layouts for the printing process. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with the sign shop team to support sign overlay projects. Assist in preparing and assembling sign components, including vinyl graphics and lettering. Ensure the accuracy and quality of sign overlay work by meticulously adhering to design specifications. Operate the squeeze roll machine. Mount, service, and maintain signs in various settings, including commercial and industrial locations. Prepare poles, buildings, billboards, and other structures for sign installations. Maintain a well-organized and clean workspace within the sign shop area.   Position Requirements REQUIREMENTS: Valid forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain one. Proficiency in using sign-related tools and equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in sign shop support and installation is required. Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials when necessary. Knowledge of various signage materials and production techniques. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
