Regional Trainer 

About the Organization Founded in 1996 by parents who sought the very best treatment available to deliver opportunities to children and adolescents living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Minnesota Autism Center (MAC) provides therapeutic services for children ages 18 months to 21 years who have ASD.



MAC's services are center-based and in-home, and include speech and occupational therapy, assessment and diagnosis services, and individual and family therapy. At any given time, MAC serves approximately 370-400 clients throughout Minnesota at 17 centers located in Eagan, Eden Prairie, Maple Grove, Fridley, Vadnais Heights, Minnetonka, Woodbury, Duluth, Virginia, Mankato, Rochester, Red Wing, New Ulm, Medford, Hutchinson and Cambridge.



 
Description

Position: Regional Trainer

Reports to: BCBA

FLSA Classification: Exempt, Salary

 

POSITION PURPOSE:

Provide individualized and delegated training to onboarding and ongoing staff. This position is in support of the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst assigned and the centers they represent.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitating with Quality Assurance and Training Specialist, new hires on-site training orientation.
  • Communicate and train on individual client treatment and behavior plans per the direction of the BCBA.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to training.
  • Communicate and work with Regional Directors and clinical teams on training needs and/or quality assurance measures.
  • Conduct a set number of billable hours.
  • Travel to various centers weekly to conduct training.
  • Assist with Quality Assurance projects.
  • Assist in identifying, developing, and managing therapist skills assessment/fidelity checks and updated onboarding and ongoing training.
  • Conduct 30, 60, 90-day training checks with new hires.

 

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:

  • Must complete all required trainings as required to maintain their individual EIDBI Level.
  • Must complete the LEaD program within their first year of role.
  • Must complete the Compassionate ABA online training.
  • Must attend training on new clients with their BCBA.

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Employee must be a Level 1 or Level 2 EIDBI Provider.
  • Employee must be passionate about empowering staff of all levels working with children diagnosed with ASD.
  • Employees must have served in a Case Coordinator or higher role or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and skill.
  • Employee must possess high interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Employee must be able to develop an effective rapport with staff, clinical team and clients/families.
  • Employee must have high levels of technological skills; able to navigate iOS (iPad), Microsoft (Teams), Central Reach and our dual Learning Management System.
  • Employees must have exemplary communication skills to communicate across multi-departments, multiple leadership levels, and explatherapeutic processes to those with limited knowledge.
  • Employee must be creative, self-motivating and willing to act when needed.
