Since 1971, the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.
The Human Resources Technician performs a variety of administrative and technical duties in the Human Resources office including answering phones, greeting visitors, assisting employees with HR-related needs, distributing hand-outs, and processing mail. Prepares various inter-agency reports and processes confidential employee-related data into HRIS systems. Responsibilities include updating all vacant position advertisements weekly. Conducts all department filing; this position requires a high degree of confidentiality. Candidate must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and HRIS experience.

Requirements: One (1) year of administrative support experience in a Human Resources office including the processing of employment records, ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations, and public/employee contact. Strong computer skills required to include Microsoft Office and HRIS experience.
