About the Organization Founded in 1996 by parents who sought the very best treatment available to deliver opportunities to children and adolescents living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Minnesota Autism Center (MAC) provides therapeutic services for children ages 18 months to 21 years who have ASD.



MAC's services are center-based and in-home, and include speech and occupational therapy, assessment and diagnosis services, and individual and family therapy. At any given time, MAC serves approximately 370-400 clients throughout Minnesota at 17 centers located in Eagan, Eden Prairie, Maple Grove, Fridley, Vadnais Heights, Minnetonka, Woodbury, Duluth, Virginia, Mankato, Rochester, Red Wing, New Ulm, Medford, Hutchinson and Cambridge.



 
Description

Position Summary

The Site Lead provides individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services directly to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the home, center, and community environments. This is a support position not a supervisory role. It is part of career development that focuses on providing coaching, mentoring, and general leadership to BT positions.

Position Functions and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the new hire in-person training schedules per the training department and scheduling department.
  • Onsight individual trainings for BTs.
  • Safety-care Certified as needed.
  • Lead or assist in physical de-escalations.
  • Overlaps when cancelled session happen; first off schedule to provide overlaps.
  • Maintain BT/SBT responsibilities.
  • Oversee Central Reach and maintain a balance schedule considering Clinical and Billing needs.
  • Overtime will be approved as needed and assigned by Regional Director and Training Team.
  • Will maintain and improve centers culture and focus on staff retention.

Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Employees must meet Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) standards.
  • Employees must be an EIDBI level 1 or 2 provider.
  • Employees must be willing to comply with the MAC COVID-19 Preparedness Plan and all MN state mandates.
  • Employees must be passionate about working with children diagnosed with ASD.
  • Employees must possess the interpersonal skills to be playful, enthusiastic and bring a high level of energy into the therapy situation.
  • Employees must be able to develop an effective rapport with client and client families.
  • Employees must be able to develop an effective rapport with MAC employees.
  • Employees must have the ability to read written treatment directions, collect numeric data and summarize the results. In addition, strong writing skills to document treatment sessions are required.
  • Employees must have basic technological skills; able to navigate iOS (iPad) and Microsoft (Teams)
  • Employees must be willing to work well with a team and comply with supervisory direction.

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Employees possessing a bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field or above are highly preferred.

Professional Development:

  • Must complete twenty hours of continued training every two years as offered by MAC’s Learning Management System, Clinical Supervisors and the Training department.
  • Must meet Behavior Therapist benchmark objectives annually.
  • Will meet with Regional Director bi-weekly to ensure momentum is continued.
