The Adult Day Support Counselor QMHP-A performs a variety of functions in support of the psycho-social, community reintegration and/or development of the seriously mentally or emotionally impaired including independent living skills training, pre-vocational and vocational coaching, needs assessments, case management, advocacy, crisis intervention, group therapy, recreational and leisure activities and/or supportive counseling. Monitors and documents client progress.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services (Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling) and one (1) year of clinical experience providing psychosocial development training, crisis intervention, counseling, and case management to the mentally impaired. Knowledge of American Sign Language preferred. Must be registered with the Board of Counseling to practice as a QMHP-A or register with the Board of Counseling to practice as a QMHP-A trainee within the first 30 days of employment. Valid Driver’s License.
