We're looking for an engaging writer and social media expert to fill this Content and Social Media Manager role. This person will be responsible for the execution of our technical content and social media marketing strategy. We're looking for someone with experience in the technology and/or cybersecurity industries with strong writing and editing skills. They will create compelling content for our social channels, technical blogs, event CFPs, and podcasts, and they will pioneer our online community engagement and influencer relations programs. The role will help amplify the brains behind NetSPI and will drive credibility and brand recognition. Candidates must have a strong attention to detail and project management skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Content Production and Management (50%):
    • Responsible for execution of technical content, including blogs, podcasts, talks, and more - collaborate closely with our services, product and Labs teams to promote novel research, vulnerability disclosures, and more
    • Responsible for writing and editing significant amounts of content and ensuring NetSPI maintains and builds our voice in the market
    • Collaborate closely with Director of Brand and Communications and Content Marketing Manager to plan and execute on the communications and content calendar; Support them with additional content and communications tasks, as requested
    • Partner closely with demand generation, product marketing, and creative teams
    • Work with the events team to manage the Call for Proposal (CFP) development and submission process
  • Social Media and Community Management (50%):
    • Writing and scheduling social media posts using the Hootsuite publishing platform
    • Supporting events, webinars, articles, resources, customer success stories, media relations, product launches, and employer branding
    • Reporting on top performing social media content on a regular cadence, for product launches, and for department uses (e.g. partnerships, products, customer success)
    • Encourage NetSPI's employees to participate on social media by suggesting relevant content, and writing social media posts for speakers, event attendees, and leadership
    • Ability to plan, shoot, edit, and produce short form videos for social media, website, and employer branding uses. Using cell phone cameras and templated tools like Canva and InShot.
    • Develop strategy for community engagement within industry groups and with cybersecurity influencers. Strategically and authentically add NetSPI's voice into trending industry discussions
    • Support NetSPI's employer branding and hiring efforts

Requirements:

  • Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or relevant field
  • Interest in cybersecurity and experience working with technical SMEs
  • B2B writing experience, technology and cybersecurity experience required
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Extremely proficient writing and storytelling skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
