Job Summary

As a seasonal Ballpark Maintenance Worker, you will assist with gameday field preparation, field events, and building maintenance.

Responsibilities

Primary

  1. Assist with painting of walls, surfaces, and structures according to directed task.
  2. Operate motorized equipment to move materials and equipment as needed.
  3. Perform basic mechanical tasks such as using power drills and other equipment.
  4. Move tables and chairs as directed for gamedays and events.
  5. Clean and upkeep maintenance of workshop and storages.
  6. Assist with stanchion removal and promotional item return.
  7. Assist with set up and tear down of gameday, concerts and other events at PNC Park.
  8. Assist with batting practice setup and tear down; putting down protective mats, putting out all screens needed and assisting with large batting practice cage.
  9. Assist with game preparation including chalking, dragging, painting home plate and pitcher's mound, assisting with watering of the infield, cleaning bases and adding conditioner when needed.
  10. Rake and drag the infield, warning track and changing bases during home games.
  11. Assist with rain situations including pulling tarps on the mound, home plate and the large field tarp. Also assist with lifting conditioner bags and squeegee water.

Secondary

  1. All other duties assigned by Director or Supervisors.
 
Position Requirements

Required:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Valid Driver's License
  3. Complete a forklift training course

Desired:

  1. Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
  2. Forklift operation experience
  3. Maintenance experience
  4. Basic mechanical skills
