Description

At Elite Medical Transport our Vehicle Operators are responsible for responding to requests for transport of persons in a wide variety of circumstances. Generally these transports are passenger services only but may occasionally include transport of a patient in an authorized ambulance. Employees in this position must be able to:

At Elite Medical Transport our paratransit drivers (PTD) transport wheelchair bound and ambulatory patients in a safe manner. This position is responsible for picking up and dropping off passengers at pre-determined times. This position is also responsible for documentation of trips and collection of payment when applicable. The PTD must have excellent navigation skills and be able to utilize app based transportation programs. The PTD must also possess excellent safety and problem solving skills.

  • Document passenger information according to policy
  • Gather passenger data and ancillary records according to policy
  • Maintain passenter confidentiality and perform all services with respect for passenger rights
  • Transport passengers in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for passengers
  • Operate and drive a passenger van and possibly an ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws
