Share Email Opening Title 100 Security Manager  Location Cedar Lakes Casino   Description POSITION SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION: Plans, organizes, coordinates and directs Security Staff in the performance of security functions, as well as coordinates the activities of security, safety and related functions with general supervision, guidance and instruction from the Security Director. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES: Has the ability to perform all functions of supervised positions. Plans and organizes and coordinates all phases of Casino fire, safety and security operations. Ensures that Casino policies and procedures in these areas are developed, updated, implemented and followed. Ensures that reports on fire, safety and security are submitted on a timely basis and that necessary work orders or other pertinent data on deficiencies are reported to the proper departments. Assists the General Manager, or any other department, on projects related to areas of responsibility. Conducts inspections to identify problems and works with involved Casino officials to develop solutions to solve problems; 6. Conducts minor investigations and reports findings to the Security Director. Conducts and performs loss of assets investigation. Coordinates all matters involving Casino parking, issuance and follow-up on parking summons, and such related matters. Conducts periodic surveys on the use of parking lots and related parking problems. Establishes, maintains and operates the Casino Security office. Conducts off-duty and weekend inspection of security personnel on the performance of their duties as part of normal work requirements. Maintains liaison and visits all Casino departments to ensure that fire, safety, security, and parking problems are identified, and solutions coordinated. Maintains Weekly payroll, financial reports, employment activity records and other requested reports for management. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Is sensitive to Native American Culture. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Performs other duties as assigned.     Position Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Ability to plan, assign and direct the work each employee is to be engaged in various aspects of fire, safety, and security operations. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and to express ideas effectively orally and in writing. Ability to work with variety of skilled/unskilled, professional and administrative personnel. Knowledge of office administration, budgeting, repair, and maintenance of equipment, fire safety and security matters. Ability to think and work fast in emergency situations. Strong organizational and communication skills. Must have ability to maintain confidentiality. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physically capable of remaining on feet for long periods of time. Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment. EDUCATION AND SKILLS Education Required: Associate’s Degree (two-year college or university) Education Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree (four-year college or university). Experience: Two to four years related experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered as a substitute for degree requirement.
