Since 1971, the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.
The Financial Services Technician - Cash Receipts responsibilities include the following:

Receives and accounts for all monetary payments to the agency, including making a determination of the appropriate account to which the revenue should be posted.

Enters and updates client and financial data in the agency's automated billing/reimbursement system.

Prepares deposits, posts to automated ledger and journal, and prepares/runs related financial reports and summaries.

Explains charges, accounts, and insurance reimbursements to clients.

Requirements: High School Diploma with experience in accounting or bookkeeping. At least one (1) year experience in automated computer-based systems. Some experience in a public behavioral health care environment is preferred.
