Starting Pay: $20 DOE

The Maintenance Tech Level 2 performs a variety of maintenance & utility duties for the facility's Engineering Department and is assigned to work for a Lead Tech on a regular basis. The Tech 2 associate is guided by a general knowledge of building maintenance, and the use of tools and basic maintenance supplies. The Tech 2 may be trained and licensed as needed to operate Grounds and Utility vehicles for landscaping, equipment transportation, and facility department and office relocation activities.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Performs a variety of duties in maintaining, repairing, operating and cleaning of the plant, exterior grounds, and campus facilities.
  • Maintains kitchen equipment, natural gas deep fryers, natural gas grilles, natural gas ovens, freezers, coolers, ice makers, dishwashers, conveyors.
  • Maintains overhead doors, safety edges, safety eyes, trailer restraints, tracts rollers.
  • Maintains man doors, closers, hinges, strikes, handles, locks.
  • Maintains AHU’s, filters, belts, motor, bearings, shafts and shims.
  • Restrooms, plumbing, ceiling tiles, floor tiles, lighting, plumbing fixtures.
  • Concrete repairs, patches, demolition, forms.
  • Sheetrock/drywall installation, repairs
  • Assesses roof leaks, minor repairs,
  • Minor sheet metal fabrications
  • Tubing, and piping repairs and modifications
  • Moving furniture, desk chairs cubicles, and tables
  • Event set up and tear downs.

Education (Minimum Requirements)

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
