Position Summary:

The SQL DBA/Developer is responsible for all application databases and server upkeep. This position involves problem-solving  where analysis of situations or data require in-depth evaluation of variable factors. This work includes integrating enterprise-wide systems with the financial system (Aderant Expert), bug fixes, new features, enhancements, and documentation of these and other processes, workflows, and inputs and/or requirements. This position works with groups, functional areas, and users across the firm to maximize the benefits of the applications to their business needs by creating, editing, troubleshooting, and maintaining financial reports from Aderant Expert, in addition to supporting a variety of financial processes across the firm. This position provides a high level of support to executive leadership, financial operations, and management.

Education/Experience/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field or in another field with requisite experience required with 5+ years of relevant experience including:

  • Experience with SQL and T-SQL programming
  • Experience working with Aderant Expert, including super-user capabilities, SQL Server 2008/2012/2019, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS, and other hands-on financial systems experience
  • Experience working with and translating company financial data
  • MS SQL report and Visual Basic programming experience
  • Advanced MS Office skills - especially Excel, including macro development/troubleshooting
  • Experience with web development technologies using C#, Microsoft .NET technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and techniques
  • Ability to understand the perspective of the business and end users and apply that understanding to solutions
  • Ability to utilize IT best practices and IT tools related to application support, implementation, and documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the firm
