ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise and mentor Intake and IME leadership to include Nurse Managers and Charge Nurses.

Coordinates with interdisciplinary leadership within PCC to include but not limited to Medical, Mental Health, Logistics, Case Management, Legal and Shelter Management.

Coordinates with interdisciplinary teams to include lab, radiology, and others to ensure the appropriate coverage of vendor services to meet Intake/IME demand daily.

Continuously monitor metrics and coordinate with management to implement and establish corrective action plans to improve and maintain identified challenges in the department.

Assist in the development of audit tools necessary to do the work.

Assist in the development of step-by-step processes; (i.e. see UAC Portal, Vision Link *QC chart audit and assist in the training of respective staff).

Assist in the development of competencies (i.e. UAC Portal / VL Link) used to measure staff understanding and training plans.

Assist in the development of Standard Operation Procedures, Process Maps and Processes to Streamline systems associated with IME.

Uses a logical, systematic, and sequential approach to address problems or opportunities or manage a situation by drawing on one's knowledge and experience base and calling on other references and resources as necessary.

Prepares records, reports, and correspondence concerning regulatory actions as needed; conducts follow-up inspections and surveys to ensure corrective actions have been taken and that errors in processes have been eliminated.

Responsible for maintaining process accountability in Intake and IME.

Responsible for maintaining accountability and ensuring every UC has a complete, accurate Intake and Initial Medical Exam in UC Portal, VisionLink and P Drive within 12 hrs of encounter and that every UC reunifying from PCC leaves with a complete medical record.

NEGOTIATION: Ability to persuade and influence regulatory representatives to reach optimum audit and/or investigation results. Ability to present the organization in a professional manner in all negotiations.
ORGANIZATION: Ability to keep various on-going projects organized and files maintained accurately. Above normal levels of concentration and memory required. Requires good time management practices and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
PLANNING: Ability to think long term; up to one year in advance. Knowledge of project management processes and best practices.
TECHNICAL: Ability to develop and comprehend numerical and statistical data analysis. Expertise in process mapping.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Orientation: 5 hours
On the Job: 6 months to one year

Multi-line telephone, computer, ten key calculator, printers, copiers, faxes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constant – Ability to communicate with veterans, their family members, staff and community/support services personnel to determine needs and actions to be taken.
Frequent – Ability to input data into computer, make calculations, complete paperwork, produce reports.
Occasional – Ability to lift, stack, load and move up to 25 pounds from varied heights.
Occasional – Ability to drive safely and recognize hazards.
