Digital Marketing Specialist  

Description

We're looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing team! In this position, you will be responsible for creating and managing digital marketing strategies and campaigns, including generating leads, conducting market research, and actively optimizing the performance of our digital strategies across Convivial Brands' family of brands. You will work closely with the Marketing and Product Teams, as well as internal stakeholders, to align digital marketing campaigns with business brand and strategy, and to build brand authority and long-term brand loyalty.

We're looking for someone who is exceptionally driven, organized, and competent, with a deep understanding of how to be successful in the ever-changing environment of eCommerce and the digital marketplace it surrounds (eMarketing, social media, SEO, etc.), and somoene who can leverage that knowledge and understanding to create efficient and effective advertising strategies in digital spaces for each brand.

The Position (this is not an all-inclusive list):

  • Improve overall brand presence and awareness for each brand.
  • Maintain and manage all social media channels, as well as being ahead of the curve in knowing the “next” platform we should be focusing on being a part of.
  • Coordinate, create and execute digital content such as social media, press releases, blogs/ articles, etc.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Creative, and Sales leaders to design digital media campaigns in alignment with each brand’s goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain a community of brand loyal consumers.
  • Create and update each brand’s digital marketing calendar including editorial, content, and     images.
  • Have a keen awareness of each brand’s unique voice and positioning to the marketplace.
  • Research advertising and Marketing trends, consumer behavior, industry trends, and the competitive landscape to ensure we are always ahead of the curve on our digital marketing efforts.
  • Digital literacy, understanding how each brand can benefit from exposure on-line and how to execute it.
  • Working with the broader Marketing team, deliver a cohesive Marketing campaign story, across social media, company websites, email campaigns, and other platforms.
  • Build the scorecard, and analyze marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, investment, etc.) to help shape future Marketing strategies.  Track digital marketing performance and report on the growth and analytics of campaigns weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Work with outside vendors and partners to supplement the work as needed.
  • Meet timelines, objectives, and deliverables within budget.
  • Campaign Development and Execution:
  • Drive the ideation, presentation, and execution of key campaign development—all the way from content needs, messaging, and social media posting and execution.
  • Manage the digital Marketing calendar.
  • With a team-driven mindset, collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Sales functions to create effective campaigns that meet sales needs and overall organization goals.
  • Be a champion of storytelling for each brand.
  • Analyze and A/B test key metrics and find-tune strategy as needed.
  • Compile reports, and campaign data to show results and how they directly impact ROI.

Content Development:

  • Create awareness and community building content that provides value, appreciation, and brand loyalty.
  • Create content solely based on testing new options of drawing in traffic (testing and measuring).
  • Identifies trends and insights and optimizes spend and performance based on those insights.
  • Ensure each piece of content provides significant value to the targeted consumer.
  • Be able to fully immerse brand messaging and voice for each specific brand needs.
  • Utilize social media marketing and management software.

Social Media and eMarketing:

  • Strategically develop systems to create and execute social media marketing on key platforms
  • – such as, but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
  • Understanding the content that works on each platform and distributing it accordingly.
  • Responsible for the execution of creative and paid digital to grow reach.
  • Grow eMarketing subscriber list.
  • Ensure each post and email has a purpose, is engaging, and adds value.
  • Implement a hashtag strategy through research and collecting key hashtags to bring exposure. Frequently updating.
  • Grow followers, engagement, views, and overall exposure.
  • Develop and maintain influencer program to collaborate and bring awareness of our products and services.
  • Be a brand advocate in social media—answering questions, engaging in dialogues, and bringing awareness.

Lead Development:

  • Create and communicate vision and KPI’s of inbound and outbound marketing to attract leads and build trust as a key player within our industry.
  • Establish effective campaigns for specific results to grow awareness, and ultimately sales.
  • Innovate unique solutions for older marketing channels—such as traditional/digital advertising, tradeshows, catalogs, etc.
  • Monitor all inbound marketing campaigns, adjusting when necessary.
  • Research and Develop new and creative ways to utilize social channels, traditional mediums, etc. to better promote our brands to the world.

Required/Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Social Media, Business, or other related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Experience in Digital Marketing is preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience working as a social media specialist, content creator, and/or digital marketer required.
  • Experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry, retail industry, or wholesale goods/food industry is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in social expression products/giftware industry with a background or expertise in product development and project execution is a major plus.
  • Experience in strategy development and implementation.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of digital marketing, SEO, web analytics, web experience, social media, WordPress, and Google AdWords – for both wholesale exposure and retail.
  • Must be a self-starter and problem solver, capable of functioning in a dynamic, fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
  • Must have solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite and CRM), and applications for web analytics, such as Google AdWords. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web development tools is also desired.
