About the Organization Founded in 1996 by parents who sought the very best treatment available to deliver opportunities to children and adolescents living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Minnesota Autism Center (MAC) provides therapeutic services for children ages 18 months to 21 years who have ASD.



MAC's services are center-based and in-home, and include speech and occupational therapy, assessment and diagnosis services, and individual and family therapy. At any given time, MAC serves approximately 370-400 clients throughout Minnesota at 17 centers located in Eagan, Eden Prairie, Maple Grove, Fridley, Vadnais Heights, Minnetonka, Woodbury, Duluth, Virginia, Mankato, Rochester, Red Wing, New Ulm, Medford, Hutchinson and Cambridge.

We are seeking passionate Behavioral Therapists (EIDBI Level 2 Providers) to join our team of dedicated professionals! As a Behavioral Therapist*, you will be helping children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) by delivering essential therapy services within a collaborative, inclusive community. MAC provides comprehensive training and opportunities for career advancement!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide behavioral therapy services to children with ASD and related conditions under the direction of a Qualified Supervising Professional (QSP)
  • Maintain professionalism while interacting with clients and their families
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Collect and document accurate data during treatment sessions
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive and engaging therapy environment
  • Possess the ability to work either full-time or part-time, during the hours of 8:15 AM to 12:30 PM or 12:00 PM to 4:45 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Work towards becoming a Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) or a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. (BACB)

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral or child development science or a related field (see above) OR at least 4,000 hours (2 years FT) of supervised clinical experience delivering treatment to individuals with ASD or related conditions
  • Successful completion of EIDBI Level III provider training requirements
  • Clear criminal background check
  • Passion for working with children with ASD
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage clients playfully and energetically
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and caregivers
  • Proficiency in reading treatment directions, collecting data, and documenting treatment sessions
  • Collaborative team player willing to follow supervisory direction
