Position Overview: The Director of Brand Strategy - Caskets is responsible for strategic planning, key decision-making, and achieving targeted sales growth and business profitability through a wide range of tasks pertaining to the organization's merchandising, pricing, and sales operations. Primary responsibility for setting the strategy for all casket products, in collaboration with sales, marketing, and operations. Collaborate with other departments and leadership to identify business goals and objectives. Meet annual operational and financial goals and objectives for the brand. Identify customers and sales opportunities by analyzing sales data and consumer trends. Lead continuous assessment of the core line of products; lead new product development internally and with suppliers. Engage with customers to prospect, advance, and close new business as well as grow the number of existing clients for The Wilbert Group with a specific focus on casket customers. Collaborate with other leaders to define the overall customer experience for The Wilbert Group. Research and analyze data to create demand forecasts. Advise and consult with the various organizations within The Wilbert Group impacting the effectiveness and/or profitability of the brand. Remain current on industry trends and new products and services, suppliers, and/or specifications and regulations. Act as a SME for caskets within the funeral industry and key suppliers; provide education/training related to products/services, if needed. Implement and manage CRM tools to maximize opportunities and customer relationships. Manage customer service & support teams. Monitor staff performance oversee employee goal and objective setting. Conduct mid-year and year end performance reviews. Assist staff in overcoming obstacles to accomplishment of work objectives.   Position Requirements Experience: Casket sales, merchandizing, and/or operations: 10 years (Preferred). Strong ability to lead business strategy including merchandizing, pricing, sales, marketing, innovation, and leadership. Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and hold team members accountable for tasks/set goals. Well versed in financial needs, projections, and reporting. Other Requirements: This position could require significant travel based on business need including overnight travel. Travel to customers and collaborate with leaders. Hybrid role between Astral facilities (Lynn, Indiana) and Corporate HQ (Leawood, Kansas). Must have valid driver’s license. Must have and maintain acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) as defined by safety requirements.
