Accounting Associate - Seasonal

The Accounting Associate will be responsible for providing administrative and accounting support pertaining to the operations of HallOVeen and Magical Forest nightly functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting and POS software, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. This is a part time seasonal position which requires open availability to work in the evenings. Incumbent must be available from the beginning of October through the end December.

  1. Oversee cash register operations and all related duties involving cash flow.
  2. Work alongside the Banker and coordinate the nightly cash pull / drops.
  3. Assist with operational issues that may arise with the POS systems as needed.
  4. Manage the processing of cash receipts, recording of revenue and receivables and ensure accurate and timely response to our customers.
  5. Provide support and training to cashiers, troubleshoot issues, performs daily cash register sale transactions and customer service.
  6. Operate the opening and closing responsibilities (i.e. balance cash drawers, record/log register totals and bank deposit).
  7. Provides customer service to patrons of the Magical Forest.
  8. Perform other accounting, financial or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements


  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and supervisors (verbal and written).
  • Must encompass professional demeanor and positive attitude
  • Ability to perform in person and over the telephone negotiations.
  • Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to care, respond and work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to interpret instructions, gain knowledge and have initiative.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • An aptitude for numbers and financial content.
  • Proper organizational skills as well as file allocation.
  • Highly skilled in use of Excel and MS Word.



  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required: Two years’ work experience in Finance, Accounting, Banking or related field
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting, Business or Finance.

  • Ability to tolerate stress and intense customer service interaction.
