About the role: We are seeking an experienced and self-directed Product Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the delivery of software products, from initial planning and resource allocation to development, deployment and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, comfortable working with technical and non-technical teams, and possesses dexterity in expectations management.

Core job responsibilities:

  • Play a leadership role in software release planning, resource/budget management, documentation control, and process improvement

  • Define scope of work, capture requirements, clarify the “definition of done” and manage the kanban before, during, and after releases

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively clearing and communicating roadblocks or delays that might impact project timeline, budget, or overall success

  • Collaborate and motivate across engineering, product management, business development and quality assurance teams

  • Communicate directly with stakeholders internally and externally, balancing optimism with a bias toward realistic expectations-setting

  • Celebrate achievement/progress while reaching for the next set of goals

  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-up, release planning, retrospectives, and backlog-grooming sessions when necessary

  • Support the adherence to relevant regulations, security protocols, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of cybersecurity workforce management

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in computer science, engineering or a related technical field

  • 5+ years in technical project, program, or product management within the software development industry

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail

  • Fluent in software development lifecycle and/or DevOps processes, as well as project management methodologies, tools, and techniques

Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior military service, a background in compliance operations or experience executing projects for the DoD, Federal Government and/or other highly regulated industries (healthcare, finance, critical infrastructure) would be a great asset

  • Prior experience in developing or implementing workforce management or learning management systems

  • Knowledge of Atlassian and Google suites preferred; Ruby/Rails, Azure, Apache, and/or MySQL (our dev stack) are helpful

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow platform is an asset

  • Project management certification (e.g. PMP) not required but is a plus
